The company’s origin story—rooted in a vintage 1965 VW bus—reflects its playful, approachable identity, while its operations emphasize transparency, collaboration, and thoughtful customer experience. With a background in communication, psychology, and startup culture, Pia has shaped Considered into a people‑centered business that brings specialty coffee to unexpected places and fosters connection wherever it parks.

bUONgUSTO, which means “Great Taste” in Italian, was founded in 1999 by the Romanelli family. Their goal was to share some great tastes from the old country with their new home in California. Through research and experimentation, they’ve perfected their recipes and have created a masterpiece of flavor.
The idea to create bUONgUSTO first came about when Angelo was a student of USC’s Entrepreneur Programme. He was given an assignment to create a business from scratch and plan its success. The project received such enormous praise from professors, university staff, and fellow students that the Romanelli family knew they were onto something special. After discovering their niche was vacant, they created their business model and opened their first location.

Barbieri Wine Company
Paolo Barbieri grew up in Rome, where his early exposure to farming, wine, olive oil, and charcuterie shaped a lifelong passion for craftsmanship and tradition. In his early twenties, he left Italy to pursue opportunities abroad, eventually building an elite career in fine dining and wine in the United States.
In 2003, after years of rigorous study, Paolo became the 53rd Master Sommelier in the United States, one of the most respected titles in the wine world.
